You can browse public catalogue and editorial pages without creating an account. If you register, submit a title, apply as an editor, post a rating or comment, or contact us, we may collect the details you provide, such as your name, email address, professional information, submission materials, and message.

We also process limited technical information needed to deliver and secure the service. Optional audience analytics are collected only after you choose “Accept analytics”.

How we use information

• Operate accounts, review creative submissions, and moderate public contributions.
• Publish verified film information and maintain catalogue accuracy.
• Protect the platform, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot technical problems.
• Measure the discovery-to-trailer-to-Baze journey when analytics consent is granted.
• Respond to privacy, rights, correction, partnership, and support requests.

Cookies and analytics

Essential browser storage supports authentication, security, preferences, and reliable Baze click measurement. If you accept optional analytics, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies and receive page, device, approximate location, and interaction information. We do not send names, email addresses, or submission text to Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie choices” in the footer.

Service providers and external links

We use service providers including Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and platform data, Cloudinary for media, and—only with consent—Google Analytics for audience measurement. Trailer embeds may be supplied by YouTube or Vimeo. Links to Baze and other external services are governed by those services’ own terms and privacy notices.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the platform. We use access controls and appropriate technical safeguards, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and may withdraw consent where processing depends on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with Kenya’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.

Children and changes to this policy

Sinema Sasa is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. We may update this notice as the platform, providers, or legal requirements change; the revised date will appear at the top.
